    Girlfriend on Welfare now owe back support
    One more question My friend that I use to work with just left his girl friend.They have three children she been collecting welfare well he lived with her he knew and now he owes 21000 dallors in back support what can he do if anything in ontario canada

    They have three children together, he just left them, and immediately owes $21 K in back CS? For his children with the woman he just left? How did that happen?

    I think what happened is the girlfriend applied for and received public assistance. The govt is just catching up with the fact that they had to shell out to support HIS kids and that's where the arrears comes from.

    Sure, but this appears to be situation in which the mother, father, and children are all living together and receiving assistance. Did she lie on her application, alleging he was not present?

    She can be prosecuted for fraud and, unless he can prove he wasn't aware, they may get him as well.
