I've had a cough that kind of sounds like I am hacking and a runny nose and I've been getting headaches lately. I've had all three of these for the past 8 days and I've taken over the counter medicine but nothing is working. What should I do?

Get yourself to a doctor as soon as you can.

It's time to see your doctor. If it is a cold, there's little he/she can do, but a doctor can prescribe better medication than the stuff you get over the counter.
