    Toilet is bubbling
Ive had the plumber out twice & a septic company out twice... toilets are still not right! Septic tanks were pumped out, and drain field is fine. Plumber went on roof both times and ran the snake, pulled one toilet, replaced wax rings and guts. Today, I just flushed the other toilet and it bubbled... what the heck is going on?? Can you help? This has all taken place in the last 5 weeks. Thanks Donna

Hard to diagnois what an onsite plumber missed but sounds like you have a venting issue. Do all other fixtures and toilets operate correctly?

The two toilets are the problem. Tub & sinks are fine.

Bubbles indicate a blow back and blow backs are caused by a blockage. You're sure it was bubbles and nit gurgles? The blockage's downstream from the toilet that's doing the bubbling.

How do you know this? Did then plumber remove the clean out cover and give it a few flushes to check the flow? Or are you simply assuming that they're OK? Back to you, Tom

Sorry, yes gurgle sound. The septic company emptied out both septic tanks the first time. 5 weeks later he is back, checked the tanks again, water was draining out of the tank into the drain field. We flushed toilets, and no water was coming out in the septic tank. He even put the vacuum hose into the drain and said he sucked out something (maybe a clump of grease). Now flushed toilets and water was now flowing great! Now today... gurgling :) Donna

Just a side question but what would cause grease to be in your drains, you are not pouring bacon grease down there are you?

No. He said it looked like a chunk of grease that has probably been in there for years.

Are you saying that the toilet flushes OK but you still have gurgles? Back to you, Tomn

Tell me what the toilets are doing. Are they backing up and overflowing? Do they not take down solids? What? More details Please. What does your plumber have to say about this? And what in the world have you been putting down your drains that would produce a big chunk of grease? Let me know, Tom
