Hi my hot tap just turned on half way by itself, this has never happened before, we have had the central heating on all day and turned it off to go to bed when my husband had washed and turned off tap tightly and then all of a sudden about an hour later the tap started running on its own. Do you have any idea what could cause this? We have also had some heavy flooding in the area.

Well or city water? What's your house PSI? Is this a single handle tap? Any pressure problems? Back to you, Tom

City, don't know psi never happened before, no pressure problems as far as I'm aware.
