New Bush sound bar, seems to work, but with no sound

Check ALL connections.

Have done! Tried connected to sky box, dvd player, TV and spare TV in bedroom. Everything powers on, but fails to give sound. Took it back today, swapped it and hey presto everything works, but now the remote control does not work, giving up now, taking it back for a refund, guess I'll have to spend more money for a decent one. Thanks any way!
