    Leaving at 17 in Georgia
I am 17 and wanting to runaway and never come back. My parents never let me leave the house, they verbally abuse me, and treat me as if I am invisible. If I were to leave without permission, and if my mom called the police, what would happen?

I'm young too. So I think I have no say in this but... I think the best thing you should do is wait until you turn legal. By then you could ask them to let you go. Keep yourself focused and not lose your nerves cause you might end up being caught in trouble.

Wait until you are 18. Yes the police can be called. But even if they don't, as a minor you cannot get an apartment will have trouble getting a job, you need to finish school etc.

If you really think you are being abused, then report it at school or church. If you are being kept a prisoner (which is what never leaving the house means) call the police.

Running away is not an answer, If you think you are verbally abused now, wait till you are sleeping in a door way or in the subway, have to fight for food out of a trash can, or living at a shelter.

Expect to be verbally, physcially and most likely sexually abused while living on the street

They let you go to school, right (they have to, unless you are officially homeschooled)?
So join as many after school activities as you can. How many are there at your school?
