Ovualtion happens in the middle of your period cycle.

If you start your period for example on the 1st of the month.. ovualation happens roughly between the 12th - 15th.

The best time to try to get pregnant is when you ovulate which is normally 14 days before your period starts on a 28 day cycle, it is recommended that you have sex 2 days before, during and after ovulation, as sperm can live for up to 5 days inside a woman waiting for an egg to fertilize, (7 days if the cervical mucus conditions are right).
