Has my cat finished giving birth?
My cat gave birth to one kitten last night at around 10pm. We half expected her to have around 3 or 4 as she ate nearly triple her amount of food. She's been clinging to me from the moment she went into to now which I found weird. She's not a very good mum she's always leaving her kitten to sleep closer to me I spent all night putting her back by her baby. She's still quite big and I still feel a lump, but she seems back to herself and in no sort've pain.

(is also the first time I have heard or saw a cat have one kitten)

Not unusual for one or two to hold back; you may seem another yet. Yes, she will have to be coaxed into feeding that little one, but when more come out, she will turn into a super mom.

It can be over 24 hours before she has another baby after the first. Watch her behavior and call your vet if she begins to bleed a lot or is agitated, etc.

Just took her to the vet. She still has babies in her tum that she couldn't deliver so she's getting a c-section at the moment veterinarian thinks there most probably won't be any others surviving as its been over 6hrs. For anyone having the same problem take her to vet after a couple of hrs just in case.

Thanks for the update. What will happen to the kitten? Will you feed her around the clock with a bottle and kitten milk?
