    Is Hydroquine harmful?
I'm an asian woman with medium olive skin who tends to get freckles and they don't seem to fade, I'be been researching for skin lightening creams or effective methods and have come aross hydroquine. Some sites say it's harmful or causes the skin to darken, especially for darker skin womnan, while some say that it's extrememely helpful. Now I'm not sure what to think... HELP!

I'm guessing that the active ingredient is Hydroquinone:

"In human medicine, hydroquinone has been used as a topical application to reduce the color of skin as it does not have the same predisposition to cause dermatitis as Metol does. This use is banned in some countries (e.g. France) because of fears of a cancer risk."
