Call him whatever he's comfortable with. If he's okay with "Chick" then so be it.

Hehe as a teen guy it may sound ridiculous to me but I will just laugh it off and accept it because it is so cute of my girlfriend to call me chick.

Make sure you donot leak this name to his or your friends. It may embarrass him.
