Looked at all the hoses seem like they are in fair condition no cracks. How else would I look for vac leaks

I'm telling you to check for vacuum leaks on the engine. All hoses, intake, base of carb/throttle body unit. A vacuum leak is one cause of what you describe.

How do I check for a vacuum leak? Visually? Or is there a better way?

. Water spray bottle for intake manifold leaks. Engine must be running.

. Propane gas with hose for leaks around the plenum. Many people use brake cleaner, but it's more dangerous. Check with engine running--listen for changes in how the engine sounds.
