    Am I pregnant?
I have been on the Mirena for almost 4 years but here lately I have been sick to my stomach, breast tenderness, haven't had my period for 3 months. I took a home pregnancy test but it came up negative I am worried because I have been feelings like this for a couple of weeks please help.

Well I'm not a 100% sure but it depends on your age and weight. If your really light and young your period might have stopped but if you weigh a little more then you might be pregnant and the pregnancy test might have been wrong, so take another pregnancy test if its still negative go to you local doctor.

    Hope I helped Nat :) x

I am 27 and of average weight but I have never gone a month without having my period I just don't understand why I would get a negative test result unless it was the test itself I bought one of those cheap .88 cent ones from walmart.

False negatives are very common. Human error plays a large part in that.

When you tested did you use first morning urine? First morning urine is the most accurate. Did you test according the instructions, exactly? When did you last test?

At 3 months late it's past time to see your doctor and get a more accurate blood test. Either way, if you're not pregnant, a missed period for 3 months should be discussed with your doctor.

Actually, although weight can affect your period, thin and heavier can miss periods. There are a lot of things that can affect your period. Weight loss, weight gain, illness, medication, exercise, diet, stress, pregnancy, cysts, etc. etc. etc.

Unless the poster has had a dramatic weight loss or weight gain, her period going from once a month to missing 3, would not be common.
