I'm sorry I know this is an awkward topic...
I'm not sure what else to do.. I'm a 21 year old female and for the past couple years I have not been able to get wet before intercourse. My significant other thinks it's because I'm not attracted to him but that is not the case. I've never been more attracted or had a better sexual partner. Artificial lubrication works but he really doesn't like it.. Is there maybe something in my diet that I can change? Is this something that happens to many women? I feel like I'm losing my relationship over it and I was just curious if anyone could help.. Thank you for your time.

For women, sexual stimulation and thus lubrication begin in the brain, often hours before the actual act of intercourse. Men cannot expect women to hop into bed and be instantly wet after a few caresses. This means (news flash!) a man has to begin a lot earlier and do things that cause emotional responses from the female and a buildup of loving feelings toward him, even something so mundane as helping out with chores or running his hand along her jaw and tucking a wisp of hair behind her ear or complimenting her on a delicious meal. That's when her juices begin to flow.

Although I very much see your point that's what confuses me even more.. He does all of those things! I'm ridiculously happy and the only thing I can fathom is that I have a physical problem. Thank you very much for your input however. I've been searching online but I'm not finding much. I can find the problem described but no real solutions...

Then it's time to see a doctor about this.
