Can a foreign company open a branch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?
We are a foreign company based in the United States and we are planning to establish a foreign branch of our business in Saudi Arabia. We would also like to engage the services of competent Saudi lawyers to assist us and provide us the necessary legal services.

Yes. Under Saudi law, a foreign company can open a branch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided it deposits to a local bank an amount equivalent to the capital and approved by SAGIA.

If you need legal advice in opening a foreign branch here in Saudi Arabia, I would recommend the services of Saudi lawyers to handle all the processes. We engaged their services to open a branch here in Riyadh for our foreign company based in China. If you are interested, you may visit their website at Al-Joufi Law Firm | Law Firm in Saudi Arabia | Saudi Lawyers | Homepage for more information.
