The guest bath floor tile is covered with excess polymer based grout. The tile installer left it on overnight and it won't come up with vinegar or CLR. Any suggestions?

I would call tiler back to correct problem.
If he won't return, scrape off as much as you can.
Use 2 parts vinegar to 1 part of water and a stiff brush with a lot of elbow grease.
No other way.
