Fell on hand now hand is swollen and bruised should we go to er or wait to go to his doc tomorrow

This is totally a judgement call. If the finger is broken then the earlier you see a doctor, the better. If it's just sprained it could probably wait.

Since we really have no way of determining what's wrong, I think your best bet is the ER today.
