I'm a mechanic until something goes wrong. Hopefully with all this support things will be better. I need to know where all the vacuum hoses are on a 86 Volvo 740gle 4cyl non-turbo. ( 2.3) I think! My car is Spitting, Missing, Jerking,Stalling

There should be a vac hose diagram under the hood somewhere... short of that, you may need a manual.

Have you checked plugs and wires?

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM), which is very easy to do. Find out if you need to apply silicone heat transfer compound to the bottom of the ICM. This should solve your problem.

If you think you have a vacuum leak you may be able to hear it under the hood. Short of that I use a propane bottle on a long hose to ensure propane bottle is NEVER turned upside down or brake clean and wait till I hear the revs increase.
