Have you performed a voltage test to confirm what you have found? The charging systems are fairly light and require a long run time to recharge what it takes sometimes to crank. Should be 12-V not running and when you start it it should be 13-V (+)

That tells you the charging system is working and the battery is not good, again.

Check the voltage of the battery itself. Have the battery tested with a load tester.
