I have had a temp crown fitted on my one fron tooth. It is way to long so I have one tooth sticking out when I talk. I know it is a temp but it looks that bad I won't go out the house or talk to any one. And I've got to stay like this for two weeks. Is this what a temp crown should look like? Also my dentist said she can only do the one tooth until in 6 months time. I don't understand why I can't have them both done as they are both as bad. Has anyone had this problem?

My husband just had two temp crowns on front teeth and they looked very good, almost as good as the perm ones he had fitted just recently.

Go back to the dentist to get the temporary crown adjusted. That should be no charge to you. The dentist should have checked this before you left the office. What reason did the dentist give you for not being able to do the other front crown?

The temp crown should look and feel good. If it does not, please go back to your DDS. Also you need to ask what your perm crown is going to be like, be sure that your DDS understands that you do NOT want your perm crown to be like this temp you are wearing now. Another thing that concerns me is that your DDS wants to wait to do your other front tooth. Unless there is something that you are not saying in your post, the DDS should do both at the same time. The reason for this is simple. The lab that makes the crowns will make both at the same time, and therefore, the color will be an exact match to each other. You do not want 2 front teeth that are different shades!! Please talk to your DDS and ask more questions. Make sure you are both on the same page for what you want and what the DDS is offering you.
