    Ph imbalance?
    Hi,

I am 42 years old, my husband and I have been married for 23 years and we have two children.

Recently I have noticed an odor after being intimate with my husband. I try to keep myself clean and though I don't douche after each time it is almost becoming a must to avoid this odor. The odor itself isn't the same as the fishy odor that would accompany a yeast infection. The only way that I can describe it is foul. I suspect the odor is the result of a ph imbalance but I am afraid of using the over the counter ph treatments for fear of causing a yeast infection. I try to keep things as natural as possible and even when douching only use water to rinse things out. The odor started a while back and then just went away on its own, it remained absent for some time and then returned. Though I have started documenting the symptoms I had not done so before to try to figure out if it could be a ph change after menstruation. Symptoms seem to be limited to strictly an odor.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thank You,
