    Yellow discharge?
I'm 18 and I've been experiencing having a yellowish discharge for a few months now. I've gone to the doctor to have STD testing done but all of them came back negative. The discharge gets really heavy and has a bad odor. It stains my panties and even forms small knots of soft textures. What could this be if it's not an std?

No it doesn't get worse after sex but it does have a fishy smell after a while of build up. It could even smell as bad as hair relaxer (perm)

Have you seen a doctor about this? It does indeed sound like an infection of sorts that would need an antibiotic to clear up.

It could be bacterial vaginosis, trichinosis, or several others.

Time to visit a doctor, your reproductive health could be at stake here.

It's probably Bacterial Vaginosis or B.V. I'm 28 and Iv'e been getting it since my first menses at 11, WAY before I ever became sexually active. It's THE MOST common reason women see their gynos besides yeast infections. Usually it's at it's worst right after your period when you have a lot of estrogen in your system,(after you ovulate there's not a lot of estrogen so the smell may get a little better). You have both good and bad bacteria in your vagina and when estrogen is high the balance gets knocked off and the bad bacteria start to grow, that's all it is. Go to your dr. or to a planned parenthood, they will probably do a pap and test your discharges PH to tell if and what kind of infection it is. Ant they will probably give you an antibiotic gel or pills depending on how bad it is. It's not a huge thing but you should get it cleared asap because the bacteria can spread from the cervix to your tubes and scar them up, so as soon as you smell that weird smell march yourself right to the doc. Hope this helps!

Oh and we African American women get it the most often (don't know if you are, just added insight)
