    Ceiling fan
    Fan has three wires a black , white and green
    Electrical box has white and yellow, great
    But what is the orange wire coming out of the box?
    Anyone? Bueller?

    Could be eome conduit wire someone devised to use. Have you checked what is hot? Could be part of a 3 wire circuit for srparate fan and light .
