Hello, my girlfriend have been taking birth control pills (Diane) since 2007 and we know that she should take a break from the pill after a couple of years to let her body recuperate or rest. So last September, she stopped and we started using condoms.

How long before she can take pills again? I read in an online medical journal that the break should be 6 months. Is this true?
