    DrBill100: EtG time & testing
    Hi there again Dr. Bill,

You've been a wealth of info in the past, so I'm coming back for more insight.

In regards to EtG testing, is there any way that the metabolite compounds? For example, someone drinks one night, then drinks again within the same 24 hour period, would those two close-set but separate drinking episodes compound the EtG in someone's system? Or would both be timed completely separately?

I actually conducted somewhat of a self-test this weekend. I was on vacation, did wine tasting and drank a few beers Friday night - I'd say the total was about 2 glasses of wine total and then 3 beers with a 6% ABV. Stopped drinking at approx 12:30am. Saturday, we went to a brewery and I had 3 beers all with about 6.5% ABV, and stopped drinking at approx 7:00pm. Had nothing to drink on Sunday or Monday, and just went in and submitted an EtG sample at 9:30 today (Tuesday). I won't know the results until tomorrow or Thursday.

In your experience, what would you predict the results would be at both a 100 and 500 cutoff? I am 27, 5'0", and about 125 pounds. I didn't do anything special before the test except drink about 2 Dasani bottles of water immediately before urinating (I just couldn't get myself to go!) Also, do you think that the amount of water consumed prior to submitting would cause a dilute sample?

I'm curious to see how this pans out, since I know a lot of people have these questions about this testing process. Thanks!

Please note that Dr. Bill is on hiatus.

Now, I notice that all of your questions are regarding your addiction.

Is there a reason you cannot abstain when you know that there will be a test? Have you ever been to rehab? Is it something that you might consider?

You have been asking about passing tests since March of 2012. Is your addiction that strong?

I'm sorry if you find my information unhelpful. However, Dr. Bill IS on hiatus, and it appears you DO have a problem.

Every thread you have started since March of 2012 has been regarding your addiction. We are not here to help you bypass the system. It is immoral and illegal of us to give you the go-ahead to drink/drug and then tell you how to bypass the system so that you don't suffer the consequences of your actions.

It is now apparent that you have a problem that is bigger than what you can handle. We will not help you to circumnavigate the system. We do not enable addictive behaviors.

First of all, how blatantly rude and presumptuous you are. Yes, I have asked MANY questions about EtG testing because I had an experience on probation. However, if you actually go back and read what I asked, most of it was due to INCIDENTAL exposure, not direct drinking.

I am neither trying to "beat" a test, or "circumnavigate the system", nor do I need a "go-ahead" for any sort of behavior. I am an adult, and I do not need anyone's permission to conduct myself however I see fit, especially a stranger on the internet. Dr. Bill may very well be on hiatus, which is fine - but unless he nominated you to come and lecture everyone who wants his science-based, non-biased advice, I urge you to stop responding to the threads directed at him.

Not once did I ever ask how to "beat" a test, and to top it off, I just submitted myself VOLUNTARILY to a paid test at an independent facility for my own knowledge and insight into how my body processes chemicals. But apparently you have elected to disregard that information. Forgive me for gaining information that was brought to light out of a negative situation I went through. You are no one to judge.

Unless you are the addressee of this question or have a valid and provable answer to what I have asked, keep your uninformed and judgmental mouth shut.

You cannot dictate who does or does not answer your questions. We are ALL volunteers here who give of our free time to help people like you.

Actually, he didn't nominate me, I nominated him as I am a moderator of this site and he is not.

It seems like you're only replying in order to evoke an emotional response from me. You have not offered any answers to the questions I've asked. Not only have you been unhelpful, you've been offensive.

And I do not care who the moderator is or isn't. If Dr. Bill is not answering, then I don't need some random person's opinions.
