Last February I was caught shoplifting and was arrested.im still 17 and I got caught shoplifting again but only revived a ticket and a court date.the court date is in January which is after my birthday so I will be 18 going to court.do I need a lawyer? And is the fine going to be more sense I already have a record? What's going to happen in court?

Yes there will be a record. No the fine is still the same for the crime. Most likely you will get probation, have a fine and lately many stores also ask for a civil penalty. I would guess from 300 to 500 in fine, another 300 to 500 in civil penalty and about a 1 year probation
