    Can't get my bradford model mi40 relit
    My water heater went after a bad wind storm pretty new can't get it lite I know that Bradford's have reset buttons but how do I reset It. I have found the reset button

    There is a sticker pasted on the heater explaining step by step how to re-light pilot.

    You are not saying how old W/H you have. Basically, there are two types of thermostats. I assume you have the newer type (see attachment).

    But just in case: Make sure you turn thermostat to PILOT, turn that LARGE red know to Pilot, PUSH IT AND HOLD IT INWARD ALL THE WAY ( should go in about 1/4" ) while clicking small RED button / lighter. It takes maybe 30 clicks before pilot lights up. Once lit, the green light to the right of the RED button will start blinking every 5 seconds. That constitutes the pilot is lit. Continue holding that LARGE RED button for another minute. Then release it - and turn thermostat to desired temperature. That should do.
