4 month old grandson has lump on the back of his head
My 4 month old grandson developed a lump on the back of his head a couple weeks ago now. It was about 1" long and 1/4" wide. It was right in the middle of the back of his head. It is soft, kind of liquidy. It doesn't appear to hurt him at all. My daughter took him to the dr. right away. They told her it was probably nothing and made another appointment for a month later. I noticed that it was getting larger almost daily though and told her to take him back again. This time they did an ultrasound on it. We are waiting on the results of that now. I am worried though and was hoping someone on here may know what it could be. It has now moved up toward the top of his head and is now a T shape. Does anyone know what this could be? Thank you.

What did the results show regarding this matter?

It may be an open fontenelle that is opening up further-it needs urgent attention. The ultrasound should have indicated something-get back to me on this! The T shape is indicative of this as well. As the intercranial spaces are arranged in this manner.

    Please respond/give me an update.
