Furnace will light but won't stay lit. New thermocouple installed last winter
Should my thermostat be set to a specific temperature?

Your heat should be set to no more than 68°F in winter. Try cleaning the thermocouple and the mountings. If it gets rusty it will not ground to the case and it affects the controls. You may need another thermocouple if the old one was not adjusted right with only 3/8" of tip in flame.
