Island Sink Loop Vent - Correct installation?
As part of a kitchen remodel, we are moving our island sink. The loop vent needs to be modified, but it looks like the current installation is not done correctly, and we may have an inspection issue if we keep it. The pipe to the exterior vent is connected to the drain side of the loop instead of the vent side, and the clean out is also on the drain side. I have created a simple diagram showing what I mean.

What do you think - Will a loop vent work correctly in this configuration? Would it pass a typical inspection?

    Thanks!

    Hi Dekay!

You need to move the cleanout and the drain over to the drain side of this piping arrangement... just like you thought! See image below.

Your arrangement would NOT pass inspection!

Thanks for the quick feedback guys! Didn't think putting the foot vent below the drain would do it.
