How do you mix hair colour?
Hi, I am planning on doing some highlights at home, I usually go to the hairdresser and have 2 colours (dark ash and light ash) put though my hair using meche. I work near by to a hairdressing supplies shop so can get everything I need, I was just wondering what do I mix with the hair colour. I know that you by the colour in a tube and mix it with developer but are they different grades? Please help as I don’t have a clue about mixing the colour.

You should consider letting your hairstylist do your highlights. If you attempt to do it yourself, it could be disastrous and it will be expensive to fix. Yes, there are different strength volume peroxide developers, which are 10, 20, 30 and 40. Most permanent color uses 10 to 30 peroxide developer and ammonia. If you are referring about dark ash blonde and light ash blonde permanent hair color, I would recommend using a 20 volume peroxide developer with each tube color.
