My son's dad was in jail 16 years of his 17 year old life. Can I file child support now that he's out?

You can file but good luck collecting. No you cannot file for back support.

How much do you expect a guy who has been locked up for 16 years and probably no good job to pay?

Does he plan to be around? Is even that a good idea?
