    A NEW Supreme Court
    Hello:

Obama will appoint at least one, and possibly as many as three Supreme Court justices. How do you think that will affect the issues of the day?

Will Citizens United survive? Will the drug war? I cannot imagine what such a leftward swing of the court could do, but I KNOW it's going to be big.

The last time this happened, segregation was overturned... The death penalty was overturned... Miranda happened. There's so much, I can't list it all. Suffice to say that during that time, some of the greatest achievements in liberal thought were made in our country...

Are we about to experience it again? Yes, the stakes in the Obama victory were BIG!

    Hello again, Steve:

I'm seeking serious comment - not right wing sniveling.

I'm seriously not looking forward to great achievements in liberal thought. I like our constitution. How's that?

    Hello again, Steve:

So, you're going to take your toys and go home, huh? Okee doakee.

Look. If Romney had won, you'd be heralding a new century of conservative thought for the same reasons. And, you'd be asking ME what I thought about it.. And, I'd tell you too. I wouldn't snivel and go home.

The Constitution leaves us wide open for all sorts of 'thought.' That's the beauty of it.
    Drugs will be a biggie.
    Roe v Wade will survive.
Lots more to wait and see if I outlive a liberal court, which I won't, so I leave it to the next generations.

Will Citizens United survive? Yes because the Dems discovered they could effectively apply it to their campaign.

For the rest ; I can't imagine a radical lefty being confirmed to SCOTUS . Also ,most likely retiree will be Ginsberg . If she alone retires the composition of the court will not change . If either Scalia or Thomas (both 76) retire then it's possible .However ,barring health ,I suspect they will stick around another 4 years .

But I do think he will have an impact on the lower courts that will last a generation.

Don't know what you are concerned about... with Roberts you already have a liberal majority.

The constitution isn't a far-right wing document, no matter how much you try to convince people it is.

I've never said, implied or hinted at our constitution being a "far-right document" no matter how much you try to convince people I have.

Geez dude, this obsession you have with following me around here misrepresenting me is really creepy.
