Light switch with 3 black, 2 white and 1 red
I have 3 black, 2 white and 1 red wires. The previous switch had 6 connections. The 3 black and 1 red was connected to one side, and the 2 white on the other side. I can't find a switch with 6 connections (screws). The switch I bought has 5 connections (screw) what do I do?

What kind of switch are we talking about? A wall switch? Is it a single pole, 3 way, 4 way or a deitch with 2 toggles. When you say "connections " are you talking about screws or screws and back wire connections? The wiring layout is strange too, whites are not marked with tape?
