My john deere l130 will not start. The engine runs fine. I replaced the pto switch, but it still will not start. Can it be anything other than the electrical? Checked the continuity to the pto and it was fine.

Hi,
A question. Is the machine an 1130 or is it the 1130 46" deck?
Peace,
Clarke
Thanks for your inquiry. It is an electric pto with a 48" deck. It is an L130.
Peace to you as well!
Janet
Hi,
There were a pair of decks in the 1980s that had number designations. I misread you lowercase L as a 1. On that model it is most commonly a broken wire just inside the right front frame where the wires go to the clutch. The blue wire has 12 V on it and the black is the ground. Often it is easier to follow the wires with your fingers to find the break since it usually hidden by the frame. Good luck.
Peace,
Clarke
