    Electrical questions
This is going to sound completely crazy but we had a power outage and one of my hard wired smoke detectors is beeping. I changed all the batteries thinking that was it but lo and behold the chirping kept up. I removed the actual detector and discovered that the beeping is coming from inside the box where the wires are. What can I do to stop this chirping? It's been over a week and my ears and head can't take it?

HMM-we had a similar post a couple of weeks ago. If only wires are in the wall or ceiling box, sorry, they don't beep. Check other detectors, carbon monoxide, time delay units, dish washers etc. Sounds are sometimes hard to locate.

Did you push the test button on ones you replaced the batteries in I know firex you have to reset. You don't hold the button until it goes off you just push it quickly. Hush feature. If this does not work make sure the connectors are snapped in completely in the back of the smokey if still happens after that change the all out.
