60's 1/2hr episode re hanging during civil war
In a Twilight Zone style, I am looking for a 1/2 hr show that depicted the hanging of a Confederate officer.off a bridge. The rope breaks. The Confederate swims away through a volley of bullets. Runs through the woods. Finally sees his beloved at the entry to his home and runs toward her. Just as they are about to embrace, the film goes back to the bridge where the actual hanging is completed. There is no spoken dialogue in this show and I think the production might be of French origin. Looking for the title. Thanks.
