What stories will the media discover now?
Now that they've successfully covered for Obama to get him a second term, which stories do you think the media will finally discover?

There was supposed to be a poll but the darn thing screwed up. Your choices (and feel free to add your own).

    1. The economy really does suck after all
    2. What's this about Benghazi?
    3. Fast & Furious
    4. Taxing the rich won't save us
    5. Hey, that Obamacare is going to cause some real problems
    6. This debt thing is pretty serious
    7. This green initiative was kind of a joke, wasn't it?
    8. You know, Obama's FEMA kind of blew it on Sandy, didn't they?

That really isn't the subject of this thread, but feel free to start your own.

What you don't want to inject some reality, I just though you had left something out of your poll after all it said add your own

Let me answer your questions for you
    1. The economy really does suck after all. Depression economies are so depressing
Yes so that has been done to death
    2. What's this about Benghazi?
Don't know, don't expect anyone will any time soon
    3. Fast & Furious
Seems to have dropped off the radar
    4. Taxing the rich won't save us
No but it might slow down the rot
    5. Hey, that Obamacare is going to cause some real problems
Yep, change brings problems but an innovative people like yourselves should ebe up to the challenge
    6. This debt thing is pretty serious
It is and the answer is tax, tax and more tax
    7. This green initiative was kind of a joke, wasn't it?
    Was there a green initiative?
    8. You know, Obama's FEMA kind of blew it on Sandy, didn't they?
It seems FEMA isn't very good a emergency response, could it be the job is just too big

The Chinese can't save our economy and we can't save their Potamkin economy. Nor are socialists capable of leading a world wide recovery .

Stories the media will discover .
    Keynesian pump priming never works
The middle income will continue to fall behind the more the government punishes the employers
The new normal will be 8% unemployment and if we are lucky 2% growth for a decade .
They will discover that there are real entitlement problems that can't be fixed with a tweek and a punt.
They will discover that it has been Obama in the White House and not GW Bush the last 4 years .
They will discover that Obamacare is hopelessly flawed ;and that even after fully implemented the number of uninsured in the country will number in the 20-30 million range... and the Dems will use that excuse to move the goal post closer to their ultimate goak of a single payer government controlled and managed system.

They will catch on to Obama's voodoo economics ;and realize that no matter how you tinker with tax rates ,you can't collect enough tax revenue to pay for the Dems prolific spending .

They will discover that Obama's plan is to do a Neville Chamberlain appeasment field trip to Tehran. He will offer up Israel as a sacrificial lamb ,much like Chamberlain did to the Czechs .
    And that's just a start

Tom you have turned very negative. I remember the times when we thought 8% unemployment normal and all the pundits were talking us down but what got us out of it was a little dose of consensus, I know that concept is foreign to you and all your"" I did it my way" rugged individualists in your Congress.

You know Tom single payer isn't a bad concept, what it ensures is the benefits get paid without tinkering and you may be right, Obamacare didn't set out to cover everyone and there are some strange rules bound up in there

Israel as a sacrificial lamb, some sort of biblical irony there. No Tom I can't get that negative about the Middle East. There has to be a change of attitude to Iran though. They have soveriegn rights just like any other country and you can't lecture them on fostering terrorists. Perhaps BO has realised you are your own worst enemies. The day of the hawk is over, it is the day of the dove

You have gone silent on Kim he requires more attention than Iran

If he's like his old man ,he'll crave attention soon enough. No doubt the Prez will send Jimmy Carter there to appease .

Yeah well, Obama has plenty of regulations waiting in the wings to fix that. Maybe he'll have better luck than he did stopping the rise of the oceans.

    Hello again,

I just wonder how Ronald Reagen was able to do so much when HE was HATED by the press.

Look. As long as you guys don't accept responsibility for what went wrong, it's going to go wrong again. Which is FINE with me.

    Bwa, ha ha ha.

I think pretty much everyone on my side has acknowledged we failed to engage minorities and young people, but it was not a failure of being too conservative.

It's no mystery how Reagan did so much being hated by the press, he went past them to the people and he was inspiring. But what he had over Obama was he was genuine. Obama talks the talk but he doesn't walk the walk and the media covers for him. Which brings us back to this thread.

Which stories will the media discover now that they've successfully covered for him?

It was ABSOLUTELY a failure of being too conservative. I mentioned on another thread that it takes MORE than trotting out a few Hispanics and young people at your events to convince them that you're on their side.. "Engaging" them won't do it.. You need to EMBRACE them.

Conservative POLICIES do anything BUT embrace them... Do you really believe they don't see through you guys?? Do you think they were sipping Dos XX's when the Republican primary was happening?? They saw, like I did, Republicans OUTDOING themselves about how HIGH and how DANGEROUS the fence needs to be... Hispanics took notice.

Now, you can engage them till you're BLUE in the face, but it's your conservative POLICIES that turn them off.

Yeah I should embrace the pathology of the dependency on the government . Yes we need to engage in conversation... and convince them that path is destructive to themselves ;and the nation.

Nahhh.. The president has a loud microphone, but not THAT loud. If the PEOPLE heard Reagan, it was the MEDIA who delivered the message..

Nahhhh.. You shouldn't adopt that philosophy. That's not what libs think. Oh, in the right wing BUBBLE, that's what libs think.. But, of course, in the BUBBLE, you guys don't think you lost the election. You think the media STOLE it..

But, something that ISN'T in the bubble, is your attitude towards amnesty. As long as you want to throw 12 million Hispanics OUT, you're not going to make any friends with them.

Yeah, I know.. It's a HARD decision.. Be true to your right wing principles, or win elections...
