    Don't want to lose sensitivity.
Okay, I have heard different things here, so I am a little confused. Is it possible for a woman to lose sensitivity in her clitorus from too much stimulation? I've been told that it doesn't happened and then I have been told that it can. If anyone can help me out with this, it would be appreciated.

I'll spare you the jargon. If you're interested in the science of sex, read up on nerve cells ;)

Sensitivity is usually a temporary loss after stimulation because the nerve cells are still recovering from the stimulus. When cells are recovering, it would take a stronger stimulation for the nerve cells to feel any sensation.

The same nerve cells are responsible for pain/pleasure i.e. warmth versus boiling hot.. when a stimulus is too frequent or too intense, and threaten tissue damage, pleasure becomes pain. (and the body produces natural painkillers endorphines which are the same hormones that make you feel happy.. so that's a reason for bdsm ;))

A longterm loss of sensitivity is usually when there is physical damage to the nerve cells. Which is like a deep cut or a tear or something serious and gory like that.

In my opinion, doing it often but at the same time letting yourself recover from sexual episodes won't lead to a loss of sensitivity.
