No. The only way it would delay your period is if you became pregnant.

Every woman has an off period at least once in their lives. Many things can cause that. Illness, weight gain, weight loss, stress, diet, exercise, medication, etc. can all affect your period.

Having sex will not delay your period, unless you become pregnant as a result of the sexual activity. So no, it's not true.
