    Starting a small business
Hi I hope you are well.

Is it vaild to start a small retail clothing business in these hard economical times?

What is an estimated start up cost for a clothing retail business?

It depends on location and if you will be offering something unique or very desirable. Tell us more.

Hi, Thank you for your quick reply

I have started an online meanswear business. Due to my budget I can only buy a few t-shirts designs for my site, and due to time restrictions(work) I can only work on the business after hours of work or weekends.

That's not a menswear business. It is a t-shirt business.

For men only? With a theme?

I have started with t-shirts and will expand to jeans, shirts and so on, as I start creating sales.

Any theme or style? "rugged man" or "handyman" or "macho man" or "oversized man" or what?

The theme is casual wear and cluby style, trying to cater for everyone.

everyone = male, female, and children?

    What is "cluby"?

Plain tees? Printed? With graphics? Many sizes? Color options?

I don't understand why "cluby" (spelled clubby) is a style that is needed in t-shirts. Are you trying to appeal to the upper class? I think you would do much better in a specialty, such as oversize, especially since obesity is a big problem today.

Thank you for that, just a bit of clarity

everyone = yound and old, fat and thin, rich and poor. For men only at the moment, for I do not know women fashion.

clubby = stylish for parties, family functions, dates, movies and so on.

I have v neck, round neck, collar t-shirts and polo t-shirts.
sizes are from S to XXL and have purchased 1 style 1 color due to budget restrictions.

My vision is to cater a kind of style, fashion that my competitors are not providing. I am starting with tshirts for they are cheap to purchase (again budget restrictions).

My question is how do I go about marketing my products and getting customers to view my products online? This is my first attempt in business.

I said, join FB and LinkedIn and start a blog (something fun but related to your business) and make connections -- but DO NOT SPAM Internet sites with links to your web site!!
