How do you replace brakes on an older Murray riding lawnmower
Hi,
From the rear of the tractor, you can go forward on the right side and find the brake bracket. It generally reqires a 3/8" wrench or socket to remove the two bolts. There two pads, one in the bracket and one behind the disc. They are they same part number. There is a spring steel plate on the bracket side that keeps the two actuator pins from breaking that pad. Could be a Spicer or a Peerless but their pads are roughly the same size.
Peace,
Clarke
