That's very common. He needs to stop feeling like it's super important and you need to stop feeling bad about finishing it yourself. Invite him to watch, perhaps, and see if you can make it fun for him.

It is actually normal, many people will not do it with actual sex. You will need to have it do it by hand, mouth or using toys, and tell him exactly how you like it.
