My girlfriend of 7 months told me she wants space and be free, we were planning of she moving in with me. She`s divorced 52yo and has daughter living with her boyfriend. When we came back from our last 10 days holiday, she told me that she wasn`t ready to move in and wanted time for herself. We`ve seen each other nearly everyday and she was telling me that she was very happy with and that she loved me. I love her deeply and I do feel hurt about her decision. Yesterday, we went to the beach together and she was cold and distant towards me, didn`t want to stay at my place and went back to her flat, I asked her if she would like to do something today, she said she would call me and she hasn`t. I`m very sad and anxious. What should I do? Should I call her or not? Please help. Thanks

Do you have any little clues from the 10 days together? Sometimes people can be happy and in love until the day they are together night and day. It might be something as simple as hours you each like to sleep, or how you leave a trail of clothes on the floor, or where you want to go and what you want to do or watch on TV, countless little daily things that just don't add up to what someone feels comfortable with. It might be that she missed her flat while you were away, and just doesn't want to move out of it. By the time we get to that age it gets harder and harder to change easily. So... any clues?

I think she needs more time and space. And you just calm down. Best wishes.

The best thing to do is give her space. Don't call her. Maybe that 10 days together showed her she likes living alone.
