My dryer stopped running and I think it is the motor you can hear everything working but the drum is not turning. I checked the belt and that is fine the pulley where the belt goes on the motor will not turn by hand I don't know if that is normal but it feels like it's frozen stuck please help

You are going to have to pull it out and tear it down to see what is the problem. Probably very dirty, too. It's easy to tear down. All you need is a good screwdriver set, a meter, and a few other tools. Here are the manuals: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Maytag%20Dryers.zip
Make sure you label all wires when you take them loose to take off a panel, like the two wires going to door switch. You will also have to take wires off the safeties to take the pieces off to wash them off. Dirty sensors will not sense and safeties get blown from dirt being in ducts. Clean it all very well and get a new fan belt and white lithium grease for all bearings.
