five year old daughter who has been experiencing abdominal pain
I have a five year old daughter who has been experiencing abdominal pain in the belly button area for a couple months now. The pain is getting worse and only occurs at night when it's time for bed. The doc tried putting her on miralax but that hasn't helped. He performed an x-ray and claimed there is nothing wrong. Im getting worried because she screams and cries at night.. What could this be?
She doesn't vomit and I haven't found a fever. She simply complains it hurts in her belly button area to the point she is bent over screaming

Could it be a simple stomach ache? Constipation?

The thing is, we can't tell you what's going on. Your doctor took an x-ray, prescribed medication, and said everything is fine. Your doctor has far more information that we do, and he's the best one to help with this issue.

Time to go back and see if there's another medication or course of action you can try.

    Good luck.

Just curious if there was any diagnosis. My daughter is experiencing that same thing for weeks now. Hospitalized, normal scans,. say she is constipated and it's gas pains. Miralax gave her major diarrhea. Just curious if there was any solution for you daughter.
