Furnace- pilot lights but the remaining burners
The initial pilot light (electric start with flame) lights but the remaining burners do not light the vent and then the blowers kick on but then the remaining burners don't light the pilot shuts off and tries to restart and fails. I have a Ruud Achiever 90 Plus furnace, don't know how old, with a Honeywell control (on, off switch). My brother (the brave one, maybe... ) was following me around while I was trying to get the pilot to light and he blew on the intital flame and it lit the remaining burners. I thought the burners were dirty since they were not catching. I turned the thermostat off had brother knock some of the gunk off the burners, then turned on thermostat to see if it would start by its self the same issue occurred. Any suggestions??
