    Address bar not working properly
I am running windows XP and I have the address bar sitting underneath my start bar. It has been working perfectly until just recently. Now when I type in "cmd" it tries to open up the webpage "http://cmd/" rather than just opening up the command prompt window. I don't know why it has started doing this and how to change it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Address bar
    Hi,
Are you referring to the Address Bar for the web, that most people have at the top of their screen?
If you are, then when you typed in cmd, it's is supposed to try finding www.cmd.com!

I think you might have had a "command" bar beneath your start bar.
    Best wishes,

The bar I have is the address bar that comes up as an option if you right click on the task bar and mouse over toolbars as "address". Hope this clears up any confusion.

Incidentally, it is now back to working as it used to after a restart but I would still love to know why it keeps changing over.
