Can you call a nail salon and explain you are a student and ask what the salon uses? In your schooling, are there catalogs of supply houses, that you could contact and speak to a customer service reppresentative?

Try calling a salon and do and internship. Does your school allow you to do internships for salon hours? Also, your Nail Technician book should have a chapter where step by step acrylics, wraps and gel sets are done. It should also have a fill-in section after each one. I would study and practice that and then call local nail/beauty salons and ask if they allow interns. If your school allows you to intern, they should have a list of schools that they allow students to intern at for hours. Also, type in what you are trying to learn into a YouTube search, there are several Nail Tech teachers showing how to preform things such as tip and blends correctly.
