There is a foul order coming from my shower drain from time to time. Why?

Hair, body oils and general dirt will start to rot and ferment inside pipes and drains. Try removing the stopper and see if you have a blob of junk on it. Pour two cups of bleach into the drain and allow it to sit for 10 or 15 minutes and flush will plenty of clean water.
