Briggs and stratton model intek v-twin 725cc 26hp is smoking bad when started
When started, engine smoke BAD - as in raw oil type smoking. Engine only has @ 170 hrs on it, and is used rarely. When last used a few weeks ago, everything was fine. Now, when it starts it smoke very badly. I read somewhere to "check the crank case vent tube" - but this engine doesn't seem to have one? I'm disabled VET and have a hard time bending over to get a good look, but when I sut down, there was raw oli that sprayed out of the muffler?

    Hi,
My guess is a blown head gasket. That would let oil into the combustion chamber.
    Peace,

These same symptoms occur when the carburetor sticks and let's gas into the oil. Is it overfull on the oil dipstick?
